EarthScope's SeedLink server moved: Adjust your configuration

EarthScope has moved its SeedLink service as part of its cloud transition. The old host rtserve.iris.washington.edu no longer answers and must be replaced with rtserve.earthscope.org. If your SeisComP seedlink chain plugin still points at the old host, no real-time data is arriving from EarthScope.

Fix: Edit the seedlink bindings in scconfig (Bindings panel), or from the shell:

# navigate to your configuration in SeisComP:
cd $SEISCOMP_ROOT/etc/key/seedlink
# list affected station/profile bindings:
grep -l 'rtserve.iris.washington.edu' *
# replace server address:
sed -i 's/iris\.washington\.edu/earthscope\.org/g' *
# generate native seedlink configuration:
seiscomp update-config seedlink
# restart seedlink:
seiscomp restart seedlink

If you run seedlink under an alias, use the alias name in place of seedlink (key directory, update-config and restart). Also check any RecordStream URLs that use the old host, for example slink://rtserve.iris.washington.edu:18000 in module configurations, or bindings:

cd $SEISCOMP_ROOT/etc/
grep -rl 'rtserve.iris.washington.edu' $SEISCOMP_ROOT/etc ~/.seiscomp
