In SeisComP 4.5.0 we have simplified the increasingly complex configuration of magnitudes. However, some configurations must be adjusted by you. Other parameters in the global and scautoloc module configurations were changed in earlier SeisComP 4 minor versions. Read the Changelog of SeisComP 4.5.0 for all details.

First some statistics for all changes and bugfixes :
794 files have changed, with 72798 insertions and 31008 deletions.
We have released the SeisComP3 in the new version Jakarta-2018.327. For that release many new and valuable features have been added including a major rework of the phase picker in scolv and the new ability to monitor waveform archives for the first time. Other modules have received optimizations or documentations to increase their usability. The database schema upgrades to version 0.11. Very important: ML has been corrected.

Our totally refreshed EQInfo in version 2.0.0 keeps you up-to-date and alerts you about the latest earthquakes. EQInfo shows maps and table of earthquakes and live seismograms from RaspberryShake seismographs. You can create and share your own felt reports about earthquakes or read the reports from others. The App provides collects earthquake information from various earthquake monitoring centers as GFZ, EMSC, USGS and others. If you are running your own earthquake service we can also add you to keep your stakeholders updated. EQInfo allows you to filter earthquake information by agency, region and magnitude as well as to control update interval, institute priority and alarm types.

We have removed 144549 and added 329135 lines of code. In total 1388 files were changed. 50% of those numbers are related to the generation of the Python wrappers with Swig. Another big chunk is related to the update of 3rd party libraries such as libbson 1.7.0 and Spread 4.4.0

from version 4.3 to version 4.4. 82 additional file changes were caused by the

We established an organization at Github to improve collaboration and source code availability.
Because we think that Github is a great collaboration platform for software development. Currently people send us patches via email and tracking all issues becomes quite difficult in our email inboxes. With Github we can track issues and discussions and accept pull requests.

Our new add-on for SeisComP3 is out. It is the first Moment Tensor software. Working with SeisComP3 it provides special views to traces and events. Here is a first overview to the new interface.
